Understanding the Details Section in Item Management (Item Management)
The Details section is the foundation for configuring items in Resova’s Inventory Module. It contains six tabs: Information, Location, Sharing, Messages, Booking Questions, and Additional Settings. Each tab allows users to customize and manage their items effectively. Below is an overview of each tab:
Information
The Information tab allows you to provide essential details about the item.
Fields to Configure:
- Title: The public name of the item visible to customers.
- Internal Title: For internal use; not visible to customers.
- Short Description: A brief summary of the item that appears on the grid and list layouts (max 100 characters).
- Long Description: A detailed explanation of the item.
- Media: Add up to four featured images or YouTube videos (recommended dimensions: 1080x725px).
Tips:
- Ensure descriptions are concise yet engaging.
- Use high-quality images or videos to enhance customer interest.
Location
The Location tab links an item to a physical or virtual location.
Key Configurations:
- Assign the item to one or multiple predefined locations.
- Easily search and select locations from a dropdown menu.
Use Case: Ideal for businesses with multiple locations or service areas, ensuring customers can book items only where they’re available.
Sharing
This tab controls how customers can share the item via social media and email.
Social Media Sharing:
- Configure Facebook and Twitter share URLs and accompanying text.
Email Sharing:
- Set an email subject line and content.
- Customize the message customers will send to others about the item.
Note: Social sharing can be enabled or disabled for all items at once.
Messages
The Messages tab is for customizing terms, conditions, and email information specific to the item.
Options Include:
- Add specific Terms & Conditions to the item, visible on booking sites or confirmation emails.
- Include Additional Information in confirmation or reminder emails.
Tip: Use variables for dynamic content like booking details in email information.
Booking Questions
This tab enables you to gather additional information from customers during the booking process.
Steps to Configure:
- Create new booking questions specific to the item.
- Choose field types: text input, number input, text area, checkbox, or select dropdown.
- Set validation rules (required or optional).
Additional Settings
The Additional Settings tab fine-tunes item visibility and customer feedback.
Configurations Include:
- Item Order: Controls the order of items on booking sites or admin calendars.
- Item Rating: Enables customer reviews and ratings (e.g., 4 out of 5 stars).
Important Note: Ratings override the average customer review rating.
