Resova validates waiver eligibility based on two settings:

• Signing Minimum Age – The age at which a guest must complete their own waiver as an adult.
• Minors Maximum Age – The oldest age considered a minor.

These settings work together to define the age ranges for minors and adults. Configuring them correctly helps ensure guests complete the appropriate waiver.

Why this matters

If Signing Minimum Age is set to 18, then Minors Maximum Age should be set to 17.

Setting both values to 18 can create age validation issues during the waiver process. To avoid this, configure the maximum minor age to 17 whenever the signing minimum age is 18.

Recommended Configuration

This configuration ensures:

• Guests 17 years old and younger are treated as minors.
• Guests become adults on their 18th birthday.
• Waivers can be completed successfully without validation issues.

How Age Validation Works

Age validation follows a simple rule:

• A guest remains a minor through the last day they are 17 years old.
• Beginning on their 18th birthday, they are considered an adult and must complete their own waiver.

How to Update These Settings

Navigate to:

Settings → General Settings → Waivers

Verify the following values:

• Signing Minimum Age: 18
• Minors Maximum Age: 17

Save your changes.

Resova now helps prevent invalid configurations by enforcing the relationship between these settings.

If Signing Minimum Age is 18, the Minors Maximum Age field can no longer be set to 18. The highest selectable value will be 17, helping ensure the waiver age ranges are configured correctly.

Why can't I select 18 as the maximum minor age anymore?
