Managing Scheduling for Items in Resova

The Scheduling section in Resova allows you to control the availability and timing of your items. It includes options for creating and managing recurring schedules, blocking unavailable periods, and setting advanced booking rules. Here’s a breakdown of its components:

Schedules

The Schedules tab allows you to define the event duration, availability, and recurring schedule settings.

Event Duration:

  • Configure how long each event lasts (e.g., 60 minutes, 2 hours, etc.).
  • Optionally, you can choose to hide event duration from the booking site and emails.

Event Availability:

  • Choose from:
    • Always recurring: The event is available continuously based on the active days and time slots.
    • Between selected dates: Define a specific start and end date for the event’s availability.

Creating Recurring Schedules:

  • Click Create recurring schedule to define specific time slots for each day of the week.
  • Use the Copy availability from… option to duplicate time slots from another schedule.
  • Customize time slots per day by adding, editing, or removing slots.
  • Use the Options menu to duplicate an entire schedule.

Default Schedule Management

Each schedule includes options for managing time slots and availability:

  • Add or remove time slots for each day of the week.
  • Activate the Call to Book feature, which replaces online booking with a message instructing customers to contact you directly for that time slot.

Closed Periods

The Closed Periods tab lets you define specific dates or time periods when bookings are not allowed.

Creating Closed Periods:

  • Add a description (e.g., “Closed for holidays”).
  • Set a date range and time period during which the item is unavailable for booking.
  • Use this feature to prevent overlapping bookings or block out holidays and maintenance windows.

Advanced Settings

Advanced settings allow you to customize booking restrictions:

Minimum Booking Notice:

  • Prevent last-minute bookings by setting how far in advance customers must book (e.g., 1 hour, 1 day, etc.).
  • Specify which days of the week the restriction applies to.
  • Enable the Call to Book option for time slots when the minimum notice period has passed.

Maximum Booking in Advance:

  • Restrict how far in advance customers can make bookings (e.g., up to 12 months ahead).

Additional Features:

  • Duplicate Schedules: Save time by duplicating an existing schedule and making minor adjustments.

  • Call to Book Activation: Use this option for time slots requiring manual booking approval.

By effectively managing your schedules, closed periods, and advanced settings, you ensure a seamless booking experience while maintaining control over your item availability. Use these tools to optimize resource allocation and avoid scheduling conflicts.
