Creating a New Gift Voucher
1. Click the Blue “+” Button
- Navigate to Inventory > Gift Vouchers
- In the “Gift Vouchers” section, click the blue “+” button to begin creating a new voucher.
2. Select Voucher Type
- Choose the appropriate gift voucher type from the dropdown menu.
3. Enter Gift Voucher Code
- Provide a unique code for the voucher.
- Codes must be unique.
- Only letters, numbers, and hyphens (-) are allowed.
- •odes are not case-sensitive.
4. Click “Create Voucher”
- Once the details are entered, click “Create Voucher” to proceed to the settings page.
Configuring Gift Voucher Settings
After creating the voucher, you’ll be directed to the settings page. Here’s how to configure its details:
1. Code Settings
- Verify the unique voucher code. This is the code recipients will use for redemption.
2. Email Forwarding (Optional)
- Add an email address and a personalized message if the voucher needs to be sent manually.
Note: Gift voucher codes will not be auto-sent when personalized messages are applied.
3. Set Voucher Value
Choose the Redemption Type:
- Value Amount: Set the monetary value (e.g., $50).
- Spaces: Define the number of redeemable spaces, if applicable.
- Toggle the option for whether the voucher is a one-time use or allows partial redemption.
4. Item Applicability
- Select whether the voucher applies to:
- All items.
- Specific items.
- No items.
5. Configure Date and Time Availability
- Dates: Allow the voucher for any date or set a custom date range.
- Times: Specify redemption times or allow any time.
- Days of the Week: Select applicable days (e.g., weekdays only).
- Add any exclusion dates if required.
6. Set Expiry Options
- Choose whether the voucher has no expiry or specify an expiry period (e.g., 1 year after purchase).
7. Save Settings
- Once all configurations are complete, click “Save & Update” to finalize the voucher.
Best Practices for Gift Vouchers
- Clear Code and Value Settings: Ensure codes and values are accurate to prevent redemption issues.
- Communicate Redemption Terms: Clearly outline voucher usage rules to customers during purchase.
- Review Settings Regularly: Update expiration dates, exclusions, and item applicability as needed.
- Offer Promotions: Use gift vouchers as part of seasonal or event-based marketing campaigns.
