Exporting Reports

Resova’s reporting system allows you to export data efficiently for analysis or record-keeping. Export functionality is available across all report types, including transactions, inventory, and miscellaneous categories. However, exports are limited to a maximum of six months per file, ensuring optimal performance and usability.

Steps to Export Reports:

1. Access the Desired Report:

  • Navigate to the specific report you wish to export (e.g., Sales, Bookings, Items, etc.) within the Reports module.

  • Select the 'Detailed' Tab

2. Customize Columns:

  • Click the Columns button to tailor your export by selecting or deselecting the fields you need.
  • Options include fields such as IDs, dates, statuses, booking details, inventory types, and payment methods, among others.

3. Apply Filters:

  • Use the available filters to refine your data export:
    • Date Range: Set a timeframe of up to six months.
    • Type: Filter data by specific categories such as All Transactions, Itemized Sales, or Itemized Revenue to tailor your analysis.
    • Other Fields: Refine by inventory types, discount codes, or other relevant criteria.

4. Export the Data:

  • Click the Export button at the top-right of the report view.
  • Choose your preferred format:
    • CSV (Comma-Separated Values): Ideal for use in spreadsheet tools or for data integration.
    • Excel (.xlsx): Suitable for more detailed analysis in Excel or compatible applications.

5. Download and Save:

  • Once the export is complete, the file will download automatically. You can save it locally for analysis or sharing with team members.

Important Considerations:

  • 6-Month Export Limit: If your data exceeds six months, break your export into smaller timeframes to ensure all data is captured.
  • Filters Save Time: Applying specific filters before exporting reduces the need for manual sorting in the exported file.
  • Review Fields: Verify your selected columns and filters to avoid exporting irrelevant data.

Benefits of Exporting Reports:

  • Data Analysis: Exported data helps you identify trends, track performance, and evaluate key metrics.
  • Team Collaboration: Share detailed reports with stakeholders for collaborative decision-making.
  • Third-Party Integration: Utilize exported data for integrations with external systems or tools.

With Resova’s export feature, you can streamline your reporting process and maintain accurate, actionable insights for your business needs.
