Enabling and Accepting Cash Payments in Resova
When Should You Use “Cash” Payments?
Use the Cash option when:
- A customer pays you in person
- You are creating a booking on behalf of someone (e.g., staff, comp, or internal use)
- You want the booking to show as paid without processing a card
⚠️ Prerequisite: Enable Resova SpeedPay
To use payment features (including properly tracking payments like Cash), your account must have Resova SpeedPay enabled.
If you don’t currently have SpeedPay enabled, you may not see or be able to fully use payment method options.
Step 1: Enable Cash Payments
Before using this feature, make sure Cash is enabled:
- Go to:
https://app.resova.us/settings/general/payments - Locate Payment Methods
- Enable Cash
- Save your changes

Step 2: Create a Booking and Mark as Cash
When creating a booking manually (via calendar or POS flow):
- Start a new booking
- Fill in customer and booking details
- Proceed to the payment section
- Select Cash from the payment dropdown
- Complete the booking
What Happens Next?
- The booking will be marked as Paid
- The confirmation email will show the full total
- Your team (e.g., game masters) will see the booking as paid and completed
Important Notes
- Cash payments are NOT available to customers online
- Customers booking through your website cannot select Cash
- They will still be required to enter card/payment details based on your checkout settings
- This feature is strictly for staff/operator use only
- It’s useful for tracking offline payments or internal bookings without affecting your online payment flow
