Creating and Managing Resources in Resova
Resources in Resova help allocate specific assets, such as equipment or team members, to bookings. Proper management of resources ensures efficient scheduling and avoids conflicts.
Creating a Resource
1. Navigate to Resources:
- Go to Inventory > Resources in the sidebar.
- Click Create Resource to start.
2. Assign Resource Details:
- Provide a Title for the resource.
- Select Allocation:
- Assign per booking: One resource is allocated per booking.
- Assign per space/ticket: Resources are allocated based on tickets or spaces booked.
- Specify Quantity and Count:
- Quantity: Total resources available.
- Count: Number of resources allocated per booking or ticket.
- Assign Items to the resource. These are the experiences or items where the resource will be used.
3.Save:
- Click Create to finalize.
Managing Existing Resources
1. Edit Resource
- Click the gear icon to manage settings for an existing resource. This includes making adjustments to its details or allocation.
2. Activate/Deactivate Resource
- Use the status icon (green dot) to toggle the resource’s availability.
- Options include:
- Active: Marks the resource as available for bookings.
- Deactivate: Temporarily disables the resource from being booked.
3. Duplicate Resource
- Click the duplicate icon (stacked files) to create a copy of the existing resource. This is useful for quickly replicating similar configurations.
4. Delete Resource
- Use the trash bin icon to permanently remove a resource from the list. Confirm the action as it cannot be undone.
Notes on Resource Usage
- Preoccupied Resources: Resources assigned to other bookings may make items unavailable.
- Efficient Allocation: Properly configuring the Count ensures resource availability without overbooking.
