Configuring Payment Settings
The Payment Settings in Resova allow you to define how guests can make payments during the booking process. This guide will help you customize payment options, methods, and additional settings for seamless transactions.
Guest Checkout Payment Amount Options
Enable payment options for guests at checkout:
- Guests can pay a deposit amount: Activate to allow guests to pay a portion of the booking total upfront. (Activating and Managing Deposit Pay for Guests)
- Guests can pay on arrival: Enable this option and configure settings to allow payment at the venue. (Activating and Configuring Pay on Arrival)
- Guests can pay by invoice: Activate to allow payments via invoicing, and configure settings as needed. (Activating Pay by Invoice for Guests)
Note: Full balance payment is required by default unless these options are enabled.
Guest Checkout Payment Methods
Activate additional methods available during the Guest Checkout process:
- Guests can pay with Apple Pay®: Enable to allow Apple Pay for eligible devices.
- Only Available for SpeedPay Customers
Note: Mobile wallet support is not available for embedded guest checkout widgets.
Additional Options
Manage extra payment-related settings:
- Hide options for guests to make additional payments after completing their booking: Toggle to simplify post-booking processes.
POS Devices
Manage POS (Point of Sale) integration:
- Connect New Device: Add and manage POS devices connected to Resova for in-person payments.
Example: Connect external terminals for Speedpay.
Additional POS Payment Methods
Activate manual payment types for team members to record payments:
- Clover Cash (ResovaPay POS)
- Cash (External POS)
- Card (External POS)
- Bank Transfer (External POS)
- Check (External POS)
Tip: Team members are not required to add payment records to confirm bookings.
Customer Credit
Enable the option to apply or refund payments as credit to guest accounts:
- Toggle Activate Customer Credit to allow guests to redeem credit from their customer accounts.
Note: Credits must be applied manually and can only be redeemed if this feature is enabled.
Save Your Settings
Once you’ve configured all necessary options, click Save & Update to apply the changes.
