Booking and Payments Overview (Item Management)
The Booking and Payments section in Resova provides tools for customizing the booking request process and managing payment settings for your experiences. This section consists of two primary areas: Booking Request and Payments.
Booking Request
This area allows you to configure how booking requests are handled and communicated to customers.
Guest Checkout Settings:
- Approval Required: Enable this option if bookings for the experience need to be manually approved.
- Cancellation of Requests: Allow guests to cancel their submitted booking requests if necessary.
Request Confirmation Notifications:
- Create and customize the notification guests receive upon submitting a booking request.
- Use variables and formatting to personalize these messages.
Request Update Notifications:
- Configure notifications for when booking requests are approved or declined.
- Approved Notifications:
- Customize the title and message guests receive when their booking is approved.
- Optionally, remove payment buttons from these notifications if balances are due.
- Declined Notifications:
- Create clear, professional messages to inform guests why their booking request was declined.
- Include options for guests to contact your team for further clarification.
- Approved Notifications:
Payments
This section controls how guests can pay for their bookings during checkout.
Guest Checkout Payment Amount Options
- Enable “Guests can pay a deposit amount” to allow partial payment at the time of booking.
- Set deposit options:
- Percentage: Guests pay a percentage of the total cost.
- Fixed Total: Guests pay a specific flat amount.
- Fixed Per Person: Guests pay a fixed amount per attendee.
- Additional payment flexibility options:
- Allow guests to pay a custom amount.
- Allow guests to pay the full balance upfront.
