API Key Management and IP Whitelisting

Resova’s API Key and IP Whitelisting features enable developers to securely integrate and build custom applications while maintaining control over API access.

Requesting API Access

  1. Navigate to Settings > General Settings.
  2. Scroll to the Developers section and click API Key.
  3. On the API Key page, click Request API Access.
  4. Once approved, your API Key will be generated, displayed in this section, and available for use. 

Managing Your API Key

Once you have API access:

  1. Navigate to the API Key section under Settings.
  2. Your API Region/URL and API Key will be displayed. Use these credentials to securely connect to Resova’s API.
  3. If needed, click Refresh to regenerate your API Key. This will invalidate the previous key, ensuring secure access.

Configuring IP Whitelisting

To enhance API security, restrict access to specific IP addresses:

  1. 1.Go to the IP Whitelisting tab within the API Key section.
  2. Add up to three IP addresses by clicking Add IP Address.
  3. To remove an IP address, click the trash icon next to the respective entry.

Best Practices for Secure API Usage

  • Share your API Key only with trusted developers.
  • Regularly monitor and update your whitelisted IP addresses to maintain security.
  • Refresh your API Key periodically or immediately if unauthorized access is suspected.
