Adding a Participant as a Primary Customer in Resova

Overview:  When creating a new booking/transaction in Resova, you may encounter a situation where a person previously attended as a participant (guest on someone else’s booking) but does not exist as a primary customer. Participants do not automatically receive a customer profile, so they must be created before they can be assigned as the primary customer on a new booking.

Steps to Add the Participant as a Primary Customer

  1. Start a new booking/transaction from the Calendar by selecting the desired time slot and clicking Create Booking.

  2. Navigate to the Customer tab.

  3. Click + Add Customer.

  4. Search for the individual using their email address (recommended search method in Resova).

If the person does not appear in search

This indicates they were only a participant previously and do not yet have a customer profile.

  1. Click Create Customer.

  2. Enter the required details:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email Address

  3. Save the new customer record.


Assigning the Customer to the Booking

Once the customer record exists:

  • Assign them as the primary customer on the booking.

  • Proceed with payment as normal.


Important Notes

  • Being a participant on a prior booking does not automatically create a customer account in Resova.

  • A customer profile must exist before someone can be selected as the primary customer.

  • After creating the customer account, you can assign any existing waiver previously signed by that participant to the new customer profile if needed.
